1. Who we are
Yacht Genius AI is a charter brokerage operated from 4005 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site, our concierge product (Gizmo) and our inquiry workflow.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Name, email, phone, country (inquiry forms)
- Charter preferences: dates, destination, group size, budget, special requirements
- Conversation content with Gizmo, the AI concierge
- Any subsequent correspondence with charter consultants
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, approximate location (city level)
- Browser type, operating system, referrer
- Page-view analytics (anonymised)
3. How we use it
To plan and deliver your charter; to respond to inquiries; to introduce you to relevant yacht management companies; to maintain and improve the website and the Gizmo concierge; to comply with legal obligations.
Concierge conversations may be logged for quality assurance and to improve grounding accuracy. We do not sell or transfer concierge transcripts to third-party AI training datasets.
4. Third parties
We share your information with the following categories of third parties, strictly for the purpose of fulfilling your inquiry:
- Yacht management companies and crew: name, group size, charter dates, dietary preferences — to confirm availability and prepare the yacht.
- Central Yacht Agent (CYA): our central feed provider — fleet data only, no guest personal information.
- Google (Gemini API): the Gizmo concierge sends your question (without your name attached) to Google's Gemini API to generate a grounded answer. Subject to Google's API privacy terms.
- Cloudflare: hosting and edge security; receives standard request metadata.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your information with marketing partners.
5. Retention
Inquiry records are retained for up to seven years for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Concierge conversation logs are retained for 90 days unless tied to an active inquiry. Anonymised analytics are retained indefinitely.
6. Your rights
EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR; California residents under CCPA. We honour both regardless of where you live. You may request:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Data portability (export of your data in a structured format)
- Objection to processing for marketing

8. Security
Site traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). Inquiry data is stored on infrastructure with industry-standard security controls. We use unique, rotated credentials for the CYA broker feed.
9. Children
This site is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Inquiries about charters that include minors are handled by the booking adult.
